Prof Tim Dixon
Professor in Sustsinable Futures in the Built Environment
Tim has more than 25 years' experience of research, education and professional practice in the built environment. He was formerly Director of OISD at Oxford Brookes University and Professor of Real Estate (2005-2012), before moving to the University of Reading within the School of Construction Management and Engineering in July 2012. His research, based within the Low Carbon Transitions Group, covers sustainable buildings, communities and cities; sustainable development and professional practice; urban regeneration and property development and investment; retrofitting across scales; and futures studies. He has recently completed a report on Low Carbon Cities (funded by RICS) and is also currently working on the RICS 'Green Gauge' project and the EPSRC RETROFIT 2050 project. He is also working in consultancy role with a number of key players in the property sector to operationalise the measurement of social sustainability in property development and regeneration projects, building on the OISD's EIB work, which he developed and led.

Dr Adam Dixon
Senior Lecturer in Economic Geography
Adam D. Dixon is a senior lecturer in economic geography and founding director of the MSc in Environmental Policy and Management at the University of Bristol. His research focuses on comparative economic geography, the geography of finance, the political economy of institutional investors, and corporate environmental management. He has a strong record of academic publications and international consulting engagements. He is co-author with Gordon L. Clark and Ashby H.B. Monk of Sovereign Wealth Funds: Legitimacy, Governance and Global Power (2013, PUP). Dr. Dixon is also a visiting scholar at Stanford’s Global Projects Center and a visiting research associate at the University of Oxford. He completed his D.Phil, entitled "Pension Fund Capitalism in Europe", at the School of Geography and the Environment, University of Oxford, in 2009, having spent the 2007/08 academic year as a Scatcherd European visiting scholar at Maastricht University. Prior to this, he received a master's in finance from L'Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) and a bachelor's degree in international affairs (international economics concentration) and Spanish language & literature from The George Washington University in Washington, DC.
