Dr Branislav Radeljic
Senior Lecturer
Dr Branislav Radeljić is Senior Lecturer in International Politics within the School of Law and Social Sciences, University of East London, UK. His main research interests focus on the study of European Union politics and the Western Balkans. In addition to these, Branislav has written about the presence of Islam in the EU and its impact on future EU policy-making. He is the author of Europe and the Collapse of Yugoslavia: The Role of Non-State Actors and European Diplomacy (I.B. Tauris, 2012) and editor of Europe and the Post-Yugoslav Space (Ashgate, 2013) and Debating European Identity: Bright Ideas, Dim Prospects (Peter Lang, 2014). Branislav has presented and discussed his ideas at numerous conferences and public lectures across Europe, America and Asia. Outside academia, Branislav conducts research and provides consultancy services within his area of expertise.

Howard brings unique insights into the measurement, management and governance of risk as both an Economist and Anthropologist having gained his doctorate from Oxford in 1986. Mr John Ralfe
Independent consultant
John Ralfe is an independent consultant advising company and trustee boards on pensions. Until 2002 he was Head of Corporate Finance at Boots and was instrumental in moving the £2.3bn Boots Pension Fund to 100% AAA long dated sterling bonds, followed by a Company share buyback, described by The Economist in 2006 as a “landmark”. His clients include several FTSE100 & FTSE350 companies, with pension liabilities from £200m to £2.5bn, as well as non-quoted companies, and the Trustees of one of the UK’s largest University schemes. Following a report to Ofcom in 2010, in 2011 he wrote an expert witness report on BT’s pensions for the Competition Commission, on behalf of BSkyB and TalkTalk. He has written over 70 research notes and articles on all aspects of pensions, including a series of 50 notes sponsored by RBC Capital Markets. He is a regular contributor to the Financial Times and the BBC Today Programme, as well as appearing on the BBC News at Ten and Channel 4 News. He was also a consultant to the Accounting Standards Board on FRS17 and the International Accounting Standards Board on share options and worked with Harvard Business School to develop Boots Pensions as a Case Study.
